Air conditioning of mobile phone switch cabinets

Switch cabinets for mobile phone networks are erected in the open air next to the transmission mast of the base station. The transmission equipment inside converts almost all of the electrical energy into heat. But if it gets too hot in the switch cabinet, the sensitive transmission equipment can malfunction and shut down.

Air-conditioning systems from the Telecom line keep the operating temperature at a safe level. They are exceptionally compact, and also make use of cool outside air to provide cost-effective free cooling.

The air-conditioning system can be installed inside or outside the switch cabinet, depending on the space available. External installation leaves more room for the equipment. On the other hand, internally fitted air-conditioning systems are protected from vandalism and extreme weather conditions.
